Javari sits a short walk east of the main temple cluster, often missed by visitors who stick to the major sites. Inside, the sanctum is tall and narrow, lit by the small openings in the shikhara. The ceilings show geometric and floral patterns, and the walls have carved pilasters. Unlike the busier temples, you can usually stand quietly and study the work without people pressing past.
After Javari, walk to nearby Brahma Temple, which sits in isolation at the edge of the complex. The two temples together take about an hour and give you a less crowded morning than the central group.
