Bring layers. The wind up here can be sharp even when the town was warm. If the top is fogged in, drive back down 500 metres and wait in the café; sometimes the clouds clear after an hour. The valleys below have tea plantations, forest patches and villages, and at the right time of year you can see south towards Thekkadi.
