Easy transfers to and in Gokarna
- The town can be hot and humid. Carry a hat, sunscreen and plenty of water. Rest during midday (roughly 1–4 p.m.) and save active exploration for early morning and late afternoon.
- Hire an auto or a private car for the day to avoid walking between distant beaches and the town. This gives you a cool place to rest and reduces sun exposure.
- The roads are narrow and winding near the beaches. If you drive yourself, do so in daylight and be cautious of two-wheelers and local traffic.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
