What our guides are for
Raahzo guides help families decide where to go in India and how to do it comfortably — especially when the travellers are parents, grandparents or anyone who needs a gentler pace. We write about the things that decide whether a day goes well: walking and stairs, heat and crowds, queues, toilets and rest stops, transfers and timings.
How a guide is researched and written
- Research from published sources. We start from official sources where they exist — site and temple authorities, tourism boards, the Archaeological Survey of India, transport operators — and well-established references. The sources used for a page are listed at the end of that page so you can check them yourself.
- AI-assisted drafting. We use AI writing tools to help organise research into a first draft in our house structure. A draft is never published as it comes out of the tool.
- Human review before publishing. Every page goes through review, where facts are checked against the cited sources, unsupported claims are removed, and comfort and accessibility notes are checked for being specific rather than generic. Pages that don't pass stay unpublished.
- No invented facts. We don't make up prices, timings, distances or reviews. Where details change often — ticket prices, opening hours, festival dates — we say so and point you to the official source to confirm before you travel.
Photos
Most photos come from Wikimedia Commons and are used under their stated licences (such as Creative Commons). The photographer credit and licence are shown on each image, linking back to the original file. Photos illustrate a place; they are not staged or promotional images supplied by businesses.
Keeping guides up to date
Each guide shows the date it was last updated. We revise pages when a reader, partner or our own checks tell us something has changed, and we recheck time-sensitive details such as seasons, access rules and ticketing. Pages we believe may be out of date are flagged internally for review rather than left silently.
Corrections
If you spot something wrong or out of date, please write to hello@raahzo.com with the page link and what you found. We check every report against the sources and correct the page when it is wrong, updating its date.
Independence from advertisers and partners
Guides are written before any booking link is added, and a place does not need a commercial partner to be included. We never accept payment to feature a place or change what we say about it. Health and safety information
Comfort and accessibility notes are practical travel guidance, not medical advice. For travellers with health conditions, please check with a doctor before travelling, especially to high-altitude or very hot destinations.
