- Book a car with a driver for the entire stay; walking in Mathura's lanes is crowded and uneven, and relying on autos between sights is tiring.
- Carry water, a hat, sunscreen and light, breathable clothing. Temple floors and ghats can be very hot. Wear socks for temple visits.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
