Easy transfers to and in Mussoorie
- Use the cable car to reach Gun Hill rather than walking the hill roads. It is a short experience, quick and gives the best view without exertion.
- Book a car and driver for waterfall day trips. The roads are winding and involve steep parking areas; a reliable driver removes the stress.
- Stay on or very close to Mall Road if you dislike walking uphill multiple times a day. Camel's Back Road and Cloud End require drives or deliberate downhill walks.
- Mussoorie is two kilometres long and built on slopes; almost any walk involves some climbing. Pace yourself, wear good walking shoes and carry water.
- Hospitals are concentrated near the bazaar and Dehradun road. Note the location of the nearest clinic to your hotel before exploring.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
