For parents and senior travellers
Easy transfers to and in Pune
- Choose a hotel with lifts and easy car access. Koregaon Park and Viman Nagar are easier than the narrow lanes of the old city; Aundh has quieter, tree-lined streets.
- Hire a car and driver for full days. It gives you shade, flexibility to rest, and avoids long walks to parking.
- Hospitals and pharmacies are concentrated around Camp, Laxmi Road, and Aundh. Note the nearest one to your hotel before sightseeing.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
