Easy transfers to and in Bundi

  • Raniji ki Baori has worn steps and is slippery if wet. Wear non-skid shoes and go partway down if the full descent seems too ambitious; the carvings are visible from several levels.
  • Hire a car and driver for the full stay rather than relying on autos. It gives you a quiet place to rest and avoids the challenge of walking between distant sights in heat.
  • Lake drives (Jait Sagar, Nawal Sagar) are peaceful and require no climbing. A late afternoon drive is excellent for gentle activity.
  • Temples can be cool and dark; bring a cardigan or shawl, as the temperature inside can be surprising. Marble floors may be cold underfoot, so socks help.
  • Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
  • Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
  • Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
