Chopta Ridge High-Altitude Road
A scenic high-altitude highway that climbs from Lachung towards the Chopta Pass, winding through high-altitude grasslands and offering views of distant peaks.

Chungthang
A small settlement where the Lachen and Lachung rivers meet, known for its small monastery and as a rest point on the journey north: the right-hand road goes up the Lachung valley to Lachung and Yumthang, the left-hand road up the Lachen valley to Lachen, Thangu and Gurudongmar.

Gurudongmar Lake
A glacial lake at roughly 5,150–5,430 m (sources differ) close to the Tibet border, sacred to Buddhists through Guru Padmasambhava. It is reached from Lachen, not Lachung, usually on a pre-dawn drive via Thangu as part of a North Sikkim circuit.
