For parents and senior travellers
Easy transfers to and in North Goa
- Hire a car and driver for the whole day rather than a scooter. It keeps you cool, avoids long walks and gives you a place to rest between sights.
- Fort Aguada and Chapora can be walked at a slow pace with rest stops. Both have benches with views. Skip if mobility is very limited; the views are better from a drive-by.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
- Pre-book the pickup from the airport or station, so nobody has to negotiate with drivers after a long journey.
- Choose arrivals in daylight where you can, and keep the first afternoon free to rest.
