Easy transfers to and in Orchha
- The Betwa ghats are level and peaceful for sunrise walks, but can be slippery when wet, especially in monsoon. Go with a guide or driver if mobility is a concern.
- Choose a hotel within the fort area or very close by to minimise long walks between sights. Avoid hotels far from the main complex if you rely on autos or taxis.
- Hire a car and driver for the entire stay rather than hailing autos. It gives you a cool, shaded place to rest between sights and saves time and negotiation.
- Ask the airline or railway for wheelchair or porter assistance when you book, not on the day.
