A high meadow village about 12 km from Pahalgam, sitting at a cooler altitude and serving as the trailhead for Kolahoi Glacier and the Tarsar-Marsar lakes. It offers wider, quieter views than the valleys closer to town.

A meadow about 16 km from Pahalgam where the road ends and the Amarnath pilgrimage trek begins, popular outside the yatra season for its glacier patch, river views and, in winter, snow sledging.

A high alpine lake above Baisaran, reached by a steep trek of around 16 km each way, known for its turquoise water and floating ice even in summer. Strictly for fit, well-prepared trekkers, not a casual outing.

A hilltop meadow of open grass and pine forest about 5 km above the town, popularly called Mini Switzerland for its long green slopes and snow-line backdrop. It is Pahalgam's best-known short excursion, reached on foot, by pony or occasionally by helicopter.

- Tickets
- There is no separate entry ticket for the meadow itself; you pay for the pony, jeep or (where running) helicopter transfer up, and small vendors on top charge for chairs, tea and pony photos. Access has been restricted at times since April 2025 for security reasons; check with your hotel or the local tourism office before setting out, and do not go beyond any checkpoint that is closed.

Betaab Valley
A wooded valley about 15 km from Pahalgam where the Lidder River runs between tall pines and open lawns, renamed after the 1983 Bollywood film shot here. It is a straightforward, gentle stop on the way to Chandanwari.

A small, very old stone Shiva temple on the bank of the Lidder River in Pahalgam town, associated with a centuries-old Shiva lingam and a distinctive two-faced Nandi. A quiet, low-effort stop rather than a major monument.
